About the role

Our Casual Retail Assistant’s role is to provide outstanding customer service, assist customers with their pool & spa requirements and generate product and service sales. Other duties include assisting the Manager in the maintenance and daily running of the retail store including merchandising and stock management.

Our training program provides our retail assistants with the necessary skills to complete their key responsibilities including:

  • Superior customer service
  • Water testing and advice for chemical & equipment solutions
  • Stock control (ordering and receiving)
  • Maintain merchandising standards
  • Demonstrating and providing solutions for pool pumps, filters, chlorinators, cleaners, lights and automation systems.
  • Ability to use, record and update our CRM, process transactions on the POS other systems as required.
  • Store opening and cash handling.

About You

Whilst previous retail experience is preferred, our preferred candidate will:

  • Be self-motivated and able to think on their feet and problem solve.
  • Be highly organised and able to work within a small team.
  • Have the ability to manage and co-ordinate service work.
  • Work safely and efficiently whilst under pressure during busy summer season.
  • Be a positive customer focused team player with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Be flexible and available to work as per the season and needs of the business, this may include weekends.
  • Be willing to learn new skills in the industry and to further develop a high standard of operations skills.
  • Be able to communicate effectively, (both verbal and written).
