My filtration system has lost suction.

11 August 2010

No suction can also be attributed to low pool water levels, split cleaner hoses and pipe or pump blockages.

Q. My filtration system has lost suction. Why? How can it be fixed?

Loss of suction is commonly caused from air entering your filtration system. Air usually gets in through the pump lid, through the o-ring under the pump lid or even through leaky pipes between the pump and the skimmer box.

Your local Swimart pool and spa specialist can generally detect and fix the cause of suction loss.

TIP: Loss of pool suction is commonly due to low water levels, split hoses and pipe blockages.
